The Retail Manager is responsible for the overall management of the retail store, ensuring that the store operates efficiently, meets sales targets, provides high-quality customer service, and maintains a motivated and effective team.
1. Maximizing sales and profits through store execution of the companies promotional activities, by developing and motivating sales people to maximize conversion rates
2. Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
3. Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training and developing employees.
4. Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
5. Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.

- Memastikan pematuhan segala piawaian operasi termasuk kualiti servis, perkhidmatan pelanggan, penjualan dan kawalan operasi dalaman.
- Meningkatkan prestasi cawangan melalui peningkatan jualan, penilaian dan pengawalan perbelanjaan serta mengambil kira kos penjimatan.
- Bertanggungjawab dalam merancang tenaga kerja dan pengambilan pekerja, mengenal pasti latihan yang diperlukan untuk ahli pasukan, mampu melatih dan membimbing ahli pasukan dari segi matlamat dan sasaran jualan mingguan, pengurusan kedai am, operasi sistematik, dan perkhidmatan pelanggan.
- Menyelia dan menilai prestasi Outlet Supervisor dari aspek kebersihan cawangan, menjana jualan dan memastikan pengalaman pelanggan yang positif.
- Menyemak dan memastikan laporan harian / mingguan / bulanan adalah lengkap, tepat dan dihantar pada waktu yang ditetapkan.
- Melaksanakan serta memastikan keberkesanan pengurusan pentadbiran cawangan, kawalan stok dan keselamatan.
- Memastikan keberkesanan operasi merentasi semua fungsi persekitaran outlet bersama dengan pematuhan polisi dan prosedur kedai.
- Merancang dan mengurus pemasaran di cawangan serta melaksanakan kempen pemasaran serta berkomunikasi dengan pegawai pemasaran dan HQ untuk memastikan Point of Sales Materials dihantar ke outlet dan dipamerkan tepat pada masanya.
- Melaksanakan semakan tahap paras token di cawangan, laporan CDM secara keseluruhan dan bertanggungjawab menyediakan jadual kutipan jualan dan pembersihan harian untuk keseluruhan kumpulan operasi di outlet.
- Mengendalikan dan bertindak balas terhadap aduan pelanggan apabila diperlukan.

- Sebarang pertukaran waktu bekerja adalah atas budi bicara Pihak Syarikat.
- Kerja lebih masa (OT) hanya perlu sekiranya diberitahu oleh pihak atasan.

Event Management (Marketing & Communications)
The Retail Manager is primarily responsible for building and managing a successful and profitable retail business through marketing and branding, products development, retail sales, events and merchandising. The Manager is also accountable for the smooth and cost-effective operations of the retail outlets.
CORE ROLES AND CRITICAL WORK FUNCTIONS
1.
Marketing, Branding and Business Development
Scan the business environment and look out for retail business opportunities for products and services offered by the company
Under the strategic directions of the senior management, conceive and recommend the value proposition and brand and marketing positioning of the company
Identify target customer segments and understand their profiles and horticulture interests and needs (may include horticulture professionals and enthusiasts, parents, children, “the greens” and environmentalists and other landscape operators)
Develop marketing strategies and communication materials and retail programmes (targeting at all or different target segments) to drive and build the retail business of the company
Develop and package product bundles (containing horticulture items, accessories, starter kit, horticulture guide, maintenance items, etc) together with training and after-sales support for different customer segments
Drive the marketing and sales of the product bundles and other products and services
Spearhead the planning and execution of horticulture-related events such as workshops, study tours, product launches, product training and horticultural competitions for different customer segments.
Drive the preparation and realisation of calendar of events, retail sales activities and promotions
Drive, monitor and analyse sales revenue and take necessary actions (to expand, sustain or rectify) to make the retail business sustainably profitable
Report the business performance and conditions to the management periodically
2. Retail Outlets Management
Spearhead the design of retail outlets and provisioning of facilities and fixtures to draw traffic into the outlets and offer customers a good and rewarding experience
Plan and put in place infrastructure, processes and systems to operationalise the retail outlets seamlessly
Oversee the design, upkeep and regular refresh of merchandising to make the outlets attractive and entice customers to view and buy
Lead and oversee the retail teams, ensuring that they provide delightful customer service
Oversee stock management in the retail outlets
Oversee the cost of operating the outlets, ensuring that they are cost-effectively and efficiently run
3. Staff Management and Development
Recruit retail-oriented staff and oversee their training and performance through the retail supervisors
Drive the provision of customer service training programmes to train all the retail staff
Develop sales training programmes to develop the selling and cross-selling skills of retail staff
Lead and guide the staff, ensuring that they perform competently with commitment
Engage, mentor and motivate team members to excel and grow personally and professionally
Manage staff issues and disciplinary matters and appraise their performance
4. Other Matters
Collaborate and contribute to the overall business development of the Nature Landscapes group
Perform other assignments as assigned by the management
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Diploma/Degree in marketing, business, horticulture or related discipline
At least 5 years of experience with 3 years in managing a retail business with profit and loss accountability
Candidates with interest/experience in activities relating to gardening/horticulture etc will have an advantage
