Position Overview:
As an IT Student, you will work closely with the IT department to gain hands-on experience and
apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting. This role offers an opportunity for students
pursuing a diploma / degree in information technology or related fields to enhance their skills,
learn new technologies, and contribute to various IT projects within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Support IT staff in day-to-day operations, including troubleshooting hardware and software
issues, responding to user inquiries, and providing technical assistance.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and
software applications.
Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, under the
guidance of experienced team members.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patch management, and
system backups.
Collaborate with team members to document processes, procedures, and technical
specifications.
Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to contribute insights and
recommendations for improving IT infrastructure and practices.
Assist in the development and testing of new applications, scripts, or automation tools to
streamline IT operations and enhance productivity.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure the integrity and
confidentiality of data and systems.
Participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to expand technical knowledge and
skills.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and end-users to gather requirements,
provide updates, and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a diploma / degree program related to information technology, computer
science, or a similar field.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, and
software applications.
Familiarity with common programming languages, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a
team environment.
Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive attitude towards tackling challenges and
acquiring new skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in handling
sensitive information.
Prior experience or certifications in IT-related roles or technologies is advantageous but not
required.
