Permai Hotel Kuala Terengganu  is wholly owned by Terengganu Incorporated was awarded as "Excellence in 3-Star Hotel Services" by the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in 1996-1997 and 1998/1999.  In the year 2008, the hotel has moving foward for a major expansion project by constructing another new building with additional total to 220-hotel rooms and with a new conference/convention room which can accommodate 900 participants. Previously the Hotel was awarded "Anugerah Khas Pelancongan" and "The Most Supporting Hotel" in conjunction with Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2014.
