About ROTARY BRDB TRUST
In 2010, Bandaraya Developments Sdn Bhd (BRDB) partnered with the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja (ROTARY) to create a safe and nurturing environment for children in need or at risk, under the auspices of the Rotary BRDB Trust.
Its story began in 1999, when the plight of abandoned children touched the hearts of two Rotarians, Dato’ Sri Akbar Khan and Datuk Chan Kam Fatt. With their generosity and after years of persistence, the BRDB ROTARY Children’s Residence (BRCR) officially opened its doors in May 2016.
Special attention is given to our children’s character development, health matters and lifelong learning. All this is done within a modern living environment which encourages play and study, while providing a sense of peace.
Here, underprivileged children are given a chance to grow up to be contributors and leaders of society. The BRCR is more than just a home, it is an empowering place for nurturing young minds into thriving adults of tomorrow.
