Nala Designs

Meaning successful in Swahili as well as being the name of her daughter, nala was first started by Lisette Scheers as a way to revive the forgotten art of letter writing, beginning with a modest collection of stationery called Pretty in Peranakan, based on Straits Chinese porcelain.

Born in Singapore and raised in Malaysia, Lisette's multi-cultural background has always informed the way she creates, and over the years, as her collections grew so did the brand. Until today, nala continues to represent the art of preserving Malaysia's beautiful heritage but in a contemporary way.

Colourful, timeless and unique, nala's collections have grown from just stationery to include accessories, jewellery, home ware, and most recently a yoga line of clothing and products. Be it a note card to cheer up a friend or throw pillows to brighten up a bedroom, nala will make your world a bit more beautiful.
