Hot and Roll had its start in 2003 when the first outlet opened at Leisure Mall, Cheras. Helmed by its founder, Tracy Ing and another partner, it is operated under Berkat Semangat Sdn Bhd which subsequently opened outlets at Summit USJ, The Curve and Sunway Pyramid.

Hot & Roll signature products are its Crispy Crepes, very much inspired by the Japanese crepes and perfected by Tracy after numerous tribulations and trials. Among consumers who previously associated crepes with the soft mushy type found in various part of Europe, the Crispy Crepes became an instant hit. It comes in a variety of sweet and savoury fillings to cater to all preferences.

In 2006, new shareholders namely John Madsen and Gan Thiam Chai joined the company which was subsequently renamed Hot and Roll Holdings Sdn Bhd to better reflect its product name and branding. The company expanded rapidly thereafter with its own outlets in addition to franchising opportunities from 2007 onwards.

Today, Hot and Roll has more than 120 outlets located at shopping centres, transport hubs, institutions of higher education and medical centres. Apart from its signature Crispy Crepes, Hot and Roll is also well known for its thin Paratha range of delicious snacks wraps. For a fuller meal, there is a choice of larger wholemeal wrap with fillings topped with mouth-watering Cheezy Sauce.
