GE Plastics Malaysia Sdn Bhd

GE Plastics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd, a division of the General Electric Company, acquired key plant & equipment assets from Carboron Sdn. Bhd. on August 2002 to position its Structured Products business closer to its customers in the Asia Pacific region. US$ 1 million was invested to upgrade the manufacturing facility in terms of the premises, equipment, capability and human resources. The Malaysia’s only multi-wall polycarbonate sheets extrusion facility was officially opened by the Malaysia Minister Of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz, on January 28, 2003.

Presently, the facility produces the high quality weather resistant and impact resistant multi-wall polycarbonate sheets under the Lexan uF0E2 and Carboron Brand. The multi-wall polycarbonate sheets are used in various industries ranging from building and contraction, interior decoration to signage application.
