The successful candidate would support the principal of a growing migration advice practice in Sydney, Australia. The principal is an active participant in Sydney gay and lesbian community and beyond. In addition to his own commercial practice, he also is the president of a community group that provides pro-bono migration advice. He is the state secretary of the peak professional body of his profession. In addition to these migration related roles, he also holds a full time role in telecommunication business. The principal also has a busy social and private life.

The role requires a seasoned professional who can combine an overall understanding of the principal’s roles as outlined above, requires one to work with minimal supervision, to exercise independent judgment and to maintain confidentiality. There is a requirement for flexibility to accommodate shifting priorities while representing and supporting the principal in his different roles--planning, directing, managing cases and coordinating views and interests between him, his clients and his associates.

The successful candidate ought to have his/her own computer and would shoulder the cost of internet. Subsidy for computer/equipment upgrades envisioned as soon as we satisfied that you are the right person for the role.
