The Assistant Finance Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the financial operations of an accounting firm. You will work alongside associates, providing support across various financial tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the accounting industry and develop your financial expertise.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets for the accounting firm.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments.
Manage cash flow and reconcile bank statements.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and prepare reports for the Directors.
Assist with the development and implementation of internal financial controls.
Liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
May provide support with tax return preparation for the firm.
Collaborate with other departments within the firm on financial matters.
Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
