Steven J. Leach Jr., an American Architect, founded the firm in Hong Kong in 1972 as an interior design practice 

undertaking projects in corporate and the hospitality sectors.

Steven opened offices in Singapore and Manila by the mid-1970’s, and expanded throughout Asia and Eastern Europe to its current size.

The group is currently owned and managed by SLA Group Partners from around the region.
