Messrs. Lim Wong & Partners was initially set up on 15th July 2015 with merger of Messrs. C.S. Lim & Associates (formed in year 2009) & Messrs M.L. Wong & Co. (formed in year 2012). Following after the joining of Messrs. S.Y. Sia & Partners into the current partnership on 15th of April 2022, the firm currently has two (2) partners and they are Mr. Lim Chon Sin and Miss Sia Sin Yee.

Our Partners/Lawyers' Profile

Mr. Lim Chon Sin, the founding partner of the Firm, has 18 years of experience in the field of criminal law. He was graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence (Hons) degree in year 2002 and thereafter successfully obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in year 2003. He started his own firm, Messrs. C.S. Lim & Associates in year 2009.

He has been practicing for more than a decade of time as Defence Counsel defending for individuals charged with criminal offence and he is also the panel lawyer appointed by Court to represent individuals charged with offence that carry death sentence as punishment.

He had a significant amount of experience in criminal defence counsel works and the cases handled by him comprises of murder, manslaughter, white-collar crimes, general offences under the Penal Code, and other drug related offences include drugs-trafficking. He also handled civil suits arising from conveyancing disputes, running down matters and commence bankruptcy and/or winding-up suites for his clients.

Our Ms. Sia Sin Yee read law in The University of Hull, UK and was graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree in year 2012. She successfully obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in year 2013 and underwent her pupilage with Messrs. A.B. Ng & Associates & Messrs. T.Y. Lim & Co.

Before started her own firm, Messrs. S.Y. Sia & Partners in year 2017, she practiced in banking litigation matters including bankruptcy, winding-up, commencement of foreclosure proceeding, writ of seizure and sale, and repossession of vehicle under hire-purchase agreement. She accumulated valuable experience in the field of motor vehicle claims during her days of practice with Messs. Moi Teik Seng & Partners. She has acted as counsel for both claimants and also insurance company.

She also pursue in criminal litigation field and successfully obtained acquittals for clients charged with s.41 RTA for causing fatal accidents, sexual offences, drugs possession matter and/or drugs offence. She worked on conveyancing matters as well and had experiences in advising cases pertaining to real property transaction, banking (both conventional and islamic), tenancies, general probate and administration of estate.
