Seven Village Noodle House, a famous Koay Teow Soup restaurant originated from Penang, started with the founder, Mr. Lim, selling Koay Teow Soup on a tricycle in 1956. Mr Lim's dedication to his food quality gradually generated word of mouth recommendation among the locals and soon the business grew rapidly. To cater to the increasing number of customer, the business was then expanded from a tricycle into a stall, and finally into a restaurant.

Operating under a top class management system and having a strong desire to provide the greatest satisfaction to its customer, the business continued to evolve and a new restaurant design concept was born. Various side dishes which perfectly match the taste of Koay Teow Soup have also been introduced. Not long after, the business expanded with several new branches opening in Penang. In early 2016, another branch was set up in Taiping, Perak.
