Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Able and willing to learn how to hands-on experience with Nagios Core and Nagios XI.
- Can learn configuring and customizing Nagios for diverse monitoring needs.
- Can learn scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for creating custom plugins and extensions.
- Have basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services.
- Exposed or with light experience with SNMP for monitoring network devices.
- Linux/Unix system administration skills.
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) for managing Nagios databases.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
Responsibilities
- Job description-Design, implement, and maintain Nagios-based monitoring solutions to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of IT systems.
- Configure and customize Nagios Core and Nagios XI for monitoring various devices, services, and applications.
- Develop and implement Nagios plugins and extensions to meet specific monitoring requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand monitoring needs and provide effective solutions.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Integrate Nagios with other tools and platforms to create a comprehensive monitoring ecosystem.
- Maintain documentation for Nagios configurations, monitoring policies, and procedures.
- Stay updated on new Nagios releases, features, and best practices in IT monitoring.
