Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience or training in automotive repair preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Assist in inspecting vehicles to identify issues, defects, or potential problems.
- Support diagnostic testing using specialized equipment to pinpoint mechanical, electrical, or electronic problems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Assist in repairing or replacing faulty parts and components, including brakes, spark plugs, belts, and hoses.
- Document all work performed on vehicles, including parts replaced, repairs made, and diagnostic procedures followed.
- Interact with customers to gather information about vehicle problems, explain repair options, and provide updates on service progress.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to property.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained and stocked.
